Below you will find information regarding the study on the effect of COVID-19 vaccine on menstrual health.
If you are interested in participating, please write down your information so you can be notified when the study is launched.
What is the study?
Anecdotal evidence has suggested that some people experienced menstrual changes after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. The purpose of this research is to assess the effect of the COVID-19 vaccine on menstruation by comparing the menstrual cycle before and after receiving the vaccination. This study is led by the gynecology team at Johns Hopkins. The principal investigator is Dr. Mostafa Borahay, MD, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Gynecology.
The study does not provide the vaccine, and study team members will not be offering guidance as to whether or not one should receive a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine.
We are enrolling people who menstruate and are interested in receiving the vaccine in the near future.
